1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They are read by the site on subsequent visits to remember information about you — for example, that you're logged in, or that you've already seen a banner.
DREMONPRO also uses similar browser storage technologies, including localStorage and sessionStorage. This policy covers all such technologies and refers to them collectively as "cookies".
Cookies set by DREMONPRO are called first-party cookies. Cookies or scripts loaded from our third-party partners are third-party cookies. Under EU and UK ePrivacy rules, non-essential cookies (those not strictly required to operate the Service) require your consent before we set them.
2. What cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential to the operation of the Service and cannot be disabled. Without them, you cannot log in, maintain a session, or use security features. They do not require your consent under ePrivacy rules because they are strictly necessary for the delivery of a service you have requested.
Strictly necessary cookies set by DREMONPRO include: your login session token, a CSRF protection token to prevent cross-site request forgery attacks, and a cookie that stores your cookie consent preferences so we don't ask you again on every visit.
Analytics cookies
We use Plausible Analytics for website analytics. Plausible is cookieless by design — it does not set any cookies or use any form of persistent browser storage. It collects no personal data, performs no cross-site or cross-device tracking, and does not fingerprint your browser. All data is aggregated and anonymous. Plausible is GDPR, CCPA, and PECR-compliant without requiring a consent banner for its own analytics. See Section 4 for full details.
Preference cookies (app only)
Within the DREMONPRO app (available to logged-in users), we use localStorage to remember your UI preferences such as display settings and language. These are not set on the public website. These require your consent.
What we don't use
DREMONPRO does not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, social media tracking tags (Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, TikTok Pixel, etc.), Google Analytics, or any cross-site behavioural tracking technology.
3. Essential cookies table
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| vp_session | Strictly necessary | Authenticates your active login session. Deleted when you close your browser. | Session |
| vp_csrf | Strictly necessary | CSRF protection token. Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks. | Session |
| vp_auth | Strictly necessary | Keeps you logged in when "Remember me" is selected. Set with Secure and SameSite=Strict flags. | 30 days |
| vp_cookie_prefs | Strictly necessary | Stores your cookie preference choices from this page so we don't re-ask on every visit. | 12 months |
| vp_theme | Preferences (app) | Saves your dark/light mode or display preference within the app (localStorage). | 12 months |
| vp_lang | Preferences (app) | Saves your language preference within the app (localStorage). | 12 months |
| vp_ref | Attribution (optional) | Stores your referral source (UTM parameters) at first visit only. Used solely for internal campaign measurement — not shared with advertisers. | 30 days |
4. Analytics — Plausible Analytics
Plausible Analytics (plausible.io) is our analytics provider. Plausible's design principles differ substantially from traditional analytics tools:
- Cookieless: Plausible sets no cookies and uses no localStorage or sessionStorage of any kind.
- No personal data: Plausible does not collect IP addresses, user agents, or any other data that could identify an individual. Page view counts are derived from a daily rotating hash that cannot be reversed to identify a user.
- No fingerprinting: Plausible does not attempt to fingerprint your browser or device.
- No cross-site tracking: Plausible operates only within dremonpro.com and does not track you across the web.
- EU-hosted: Plausible's infrastructure is based in Germany (EU). No data leaves the EEA.
- Open source: Plausible's code is open source and independently auditable.
Because Plausible collects no personal data and sets no cookies, it does not require a consent banner under GDPR, UK GDPR, or ePrivacy Directive rules. However, we include it in our cookie preference panel below for full transparency, and you may opt out of Plausible page-view counting by enabling the "Do Not Track" signal in your browser — Plausible respects the DNT header.
5. Manage your cookie preferences
Use the controls below to accept or decline each optional cookie category. Your preferences are saved in localStorage and applied on every visit. "Essential Only" keeps only the strictly necessary cookies active.
6. Third-party cookies
DREMONPRO is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may set technical cookies related to edge routing and load balancing. These are functional cookies that do not contain personal information and are necessary to route your request to the correct server.
DREMONPRO does not embed Facebook Pixel, Google Ads tags, LinkedIn Insight, TikTok Pixel, Twitter Pixel, or any other advertising network or social media tracking scripts. We have a deliberate policy of zero advertising trackers.
Embedded content from third parties — for example, YouTube video embeds in the blog — may set their own cookies if you interact with them. Where possible, we use privacy-enhanced embed modes. We only load third-party embeds after you explicitly interact with them.
7. Browser controls
In addition to our preference centre above, you can control all cookies directly in your browser settings:
- ChromeSettings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- SafariPreferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- FirefoxSettings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- EdgeSettings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
- OperaSettings → Advanced → Privacy and security → Site settings → Cookies
Blocking all cookies will prevent you from logging in to DREMONPRO. Strictly necessary cookies must be permitted for the Service to function correctly.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies. If we add a new category of cookie requiring consent, we will notify registered account holders by email and present a fresh consent prompt on your next visit. Non-material updates (such as clarifying descriptions or correcting errors) will be reflected in the "Last updated" date without individual notification.
